Rondo

Terms of Use

Last updated: August 13, 2026

These terms cover your use of the Rondo mobile app (“Rondo”, “the app”), published by Mickael Lecoq (“we”, “us”, “the developer”). By downloading or using Rondo, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What Rondo is

Rondo turns an audio track into a scene-reactive visualizer video — a vertical teaser, a square or widescreen video, or a silent looping Spotify Canvas — entirely on your device. It has no server component beyond, optionally, your own iCloud account.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Rondo on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal or professional purposes, subject to Apple's Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service and to these Terms.

You may not:

Your content

You keep all rights to the audio you import and the videos, images, and text you create with Rondo. We claim no ownership over any of it — which follows naturally from the fact that it never reaches us. You're solely responsible for having the rights needed to use the tracks, artwork, and lyrics you import, and for how you use, publish, or distribute what you export.

In-app purchase

“Rondo Pro” is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: it unlocks the app's full set of scenes, backgrounds, formats, brand color, artwork placement, typefaces, and presets permanently, on the App Store account that purchased it. All billing is handled by Apple; purchases, and any refund, are governed by Apple's own terms and policies, not by us — we don't process payments and can't issue refunds directly.

No warranty

Rondo is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose; results (rendering speed, memory use, transcription accuracy) depend on your device and the tracks you import. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost data or lost profits — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Open-source components

Rondo is built in part on open-source software, each under its own license. A list is available on request.

Changes

We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll note it in the app's release notes. Continuing to use Rondo after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Termination

You may stop using Rondo and delete it at any time. We may discontinue the app; if we do, it will keep working on your device as already installed, since it does not depend on an ongoing server connection to run.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent French courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
