Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 13, 2026
Rondo is built around one rule: your music never leaves your phone. This page explains exactly what that means.
The short version
Rondo does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no server that ever sees your tracks, your videos, or your voice.
What stays on your device
- The audio you import, its analysis, and the videos you export
- Your projects, presets, and settings
- Lyrics transcripts, generated entirely on-device
None of this is sent anywhere by Rondo. It lives in the app's local storage on your phone. Unless you turn off device backups, iOS may include it in your regular iPhone backup — that's an iOS setting, not something Rondo controls.
iCloud backup (optional)
If you turn on “Back up to iCloud” in Settings, your projects — and, if you choose to include it, your audio — are copied to your own iCloud account through Apple's iCloud APIs. This traffic goes directly between your device and Apple; Rondo's developer never has access to it, and no copy passes through any server we operate. Turning the setting off, or signing out of iCloud, stops the sync immediately.
Photo library access
Rondo asks for two, separate permissions:
- to read a photo you pick as artwork for a project;
- to save your exported videos into your Photos library.
Neither permission is used to read your library in the background, and nothing from your library is ever uploaded.
Lyrics transcription
When you ask Rondo to transcribe a track, it runs a speech-recognition model directly on your phone. The model itself is a one-time download (from a public model repository) the first time you use the feature; your audio is never sent anywhere to be transcribed.
Purchases
Rondo Pro is a one-time, non-subscription purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Rondo's developer never receives or stores your payment details — see Apple's own privacy policy for how the App Store handles that.
What we don't have
No analytics SDK, no advertising network, no crash-reporting service that phones home, no user accounts, no tracking of any kind — on this app or across other apps or websites.
Your rights
Because no personal data is collected or processed by Rondo's developer, there is, in practice, nothing on our end to access, correct, or delete. Any data in your iCloud account is governed by Apple's own privacy policy and your Apple ID settings — you're always in control of it there.
Children
Rondo is not directed at children and, since it collects nothing, has no children's data to worry about either way.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted here with a new date above. Meaningful changes will also be called out in the app's release notes.
